Couture Files Restraining Order Against Affliction Owner
From the SJ Mercury News and TMZ
Ultimate Fighting Championship title holder Randy Couture's wife has won a restraining order against a T-shirt business partner, alleging threats and intimidation.
Kim Couture won the order Wednesday against Affliction Inc. clothing company owner Todd Eugene Beard. Kim Couture alleges in court documents that Beard has a violent criminal history and engaged in "threatening" actions.
A court spokeswoman says the order restraining Beard from approaching Kim Couture was issued Wednesday by Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Doug Smith.
Kim Couture also asked the judge to prohibit Beard from attending a UFC bout featuring Randy Couture this Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden arena in Las Vegas.
A lawyer for Beard didn't immediately respond to a message seeking comment. Beard's business is in Seal Beach, Calif.
Randy and wife Kim claim Affliction Prez Todd Beard has been on a campaign of terror against them since they asked for an accounting of profits. A Las Vegas judge just issued a temporary restraining order, prohibiting Beard from going near Kim, and that includes going near the MGM Grand when Randy fights this Saturday. And Beard can't go to the hotel during the weigh-in the day before either.
According to Kim Couture's declaration, Beard has made "a series of threats and acts intended to intimidate me and otherwise coerce me to 'back off.'"
She goes on: "My fear of Mr. Beard is well-founded given his extensive criminal history. Not only has he been convicted of numerous state and federal felonies relating to fraud ...he has engaged in numerous acts of violence, including violence against women."
Couture's belt is on the line Saturday night at the MGM grand, when he takes on Brock Lesner

Thanks in advance for letting me know.
Yours in Christ,
Holy sh!t, I'm going to be in Vegas this weekend. I'll keep an eye out for Mr. Beard. :p
Wish I had tickets to the UFC fights.
Well, at least do a background check to see if they were convicted of fraud.
Maybe he'll stop wearing those fugly t-shirts now.:icon_puke

I doubt Couture meets with the guy and pulls the trigger to something like this on his own. His management SHOULD have had a very proactive involvement and would have given him the "Yeah/Nay" input for his final approval.
How they could miss something like this, which I am assuming his prior convictions are true, lest Kim Couture leave herself open to libel/slander countersuit, is unfathomable.
Unless they all believed the reward was worth the risk.
Hell, $60 for a t-shirt is practically criminal in itself.
What type of person would pay 60$ for a shirt? :new_Eyecr
