    Hell yeah! Hell no!

80s music while you train is equivalent to a 5 minute break

Whenever I'm doing an athletic activity or athletic training, I find that if there's 80s training montage music playing in the background I am able to keep going a bit longer and forget my feelings of fatigue for a little while. I think it's because I've been profoundly influenced by watching 80s martial arts films with training montages set to 80s pop music. When I hear music like that while I'm throwing punches or doing pushups etc I feel such a tremendous emotional pump up state that I just keep going and going.

YouTube - NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER ( MUSIC )

Does 80s training montage music get you pumped up to really push yourself? If so, which movie/music is your favorite piece?

I'd have to say that I'm partial to Bloodsport, or Kickboxer (YouTube - KICKERBOXER ( MUSIC ) . Nothing beats 80s American orientalism for when you're training martial arts/combative sports.

Kyle: at a regular gym near me, there's a female instructor who plays "Living On A Prayer" during a cardio-type boxing class.
