    I agree with the OP. BBJ works great for ringsports, but isn't effective for real combat. In a world where people can punch, kick, and even eyegounge, rolling around one the ground isn't a sound martial decision, especially if that ground is concret which could have broken glass and (if you live in a big city) AIDS needles. So when your opponent's allies come to aid him, and you're rolling around on the ground, you're going to get stomped.
