Poll: Bompa or Zatsiorsky?
Long story short, I'm probably going to be placing an order on Amazon.ca soon, and it's currently just below the free shipping mark. I'm trying to decide what to add to top it up, and I think I've narrowed it down to the following:
Tudor Bompa's Periodization: Theory And Methodology Of Training
Vladimir Zatsiorsky's Science And Practice Of Strength Training
I've already read Periodization, so on one hand, I might not get as much new stuff from it, but on the other hand I know it's good.
What do y'all think?

They both pretty much confused the living **** out of me, as I am not science literate.

Get'em both dude. A good book is never a bad investment :)Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New: On strenght standards, relationships and structural balance. Shoulder problems? Read this.
My crapuous vlog and my blog of training, stuff and crap. NEW: Me, Mrs. Macho and our newborn baby.
New To Weight Training? Get the StrongLifts 5x5 program and Rippetoe's "Starting Strength, 2nd Ed". Wanna build muscle/gain weight? Check this article. My review on Tactical Nutrition here.
t-nation - Dissecting the deadlift. Anatomy and Muscle Balancing Videos.
The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

Ask DTT which one he read then, get the other book. If both, get the one he never quoted.

I'm currently leaning towards Zatsiorksky because it'd be new.
Also, aside: it'd be nice to get these in ebook format so they'd be searchable.

Zatsiorsky hands down. Bompa's stuff has some interesting tidbits, but it isn't as solid at Zatsiorsky's book. Although, if you want THE text, i would pick up Supertraining by Mel Siff. It is a hard book to get through, but it is a great source of info. Aparantly Zatsiorsky is also publishing another text soon, so you might want to wait for that (depending on what type of book you need).
