They already do that. They are called shanks. In fact, because they have all sorts of time to sit around doing abso-fucking-lutely nothing, they spend that time making improvised weapons out of **** like toothbrushes, combs, glasses, etc...
One example would be a shoe that gave you some kind of foot disease or put ****/poison on food.
Where the **** are they going to find poison in prison? I suppose they could use cleaning agents and **** like that, but a guard would seriously have to **** up to let that **** happen.

And WTF? Foot disease? Oh no, the prisoners are spreading Athlete's Foot! Call the papers! We're going to need a shitload Gold Bond Extra Strength!
maybe a tire or break cord that was fragile, who knows? manufacture a knife that had a loose handle?
Why in God's name would you want a knife with a loose handle? That's a good way to lose a knife.
They would also have more tools from their workplace to escape with and develop weapons. who knows? maybe a super smart prisoner would invent a cross-bow or a nail gun.
    1. Crossbows have already been invented.
    2. If they are super smart, why the **** are they in prison? Did Batman finally knab them? Anyone with "super smarts" usually stays out of prison.
    3. Why would they make a nail gun when they would be working with them?
    4. Prison administrators would most likely put procedures in place to prevent prisoners from revolting.
I still don't see your point.
I imagine you end up saying that a lot.

by foot disease I was aiming more towards those shoes they use to correct little kid's feet. something that didn't fit.

and by a knife with a lose handle I meant that your citizen cooking with a prisoner made knife could have the half assed knife fall off and cut off his toe.

Do I seriously ahve to explain everything to you?

you trust in procedure too much and fail to comprehend what you're reading. moron.

EDIT: actually, I re-read your post and god, it was painfull.

    You're a grade A Dumbass.

I would rather you didn't "eplain" anything to me. It's sounds filthy.

I'm just curious, in your little world where all prisoners spend their time doing is make sinister plans to cut off the toes of "citizens" (wtf?) with loose knife handles instead of, you know, smuggling cocaine into their prison cells and recruiting members for gangs they belong to on the outside, do any of these diabolical master criminals wear spandex?

Believe it or not, spandex is a more common fetish than wearing a colored katare outfit while furiously masturbating to a long ass speech regarding a wrist technique that doesn't work. And doing Kata.

I really have no respect for traditional martial artist, you all annoy the **** out of me and are half childish and half insane.

Concentration camps came up in the discourse about using prisoners as workers.

I'm glad to see I had some small part in starting the beat-down between Dunkel and tharuz. It makes me feel... powerful.

And for the record I never claimed that all of my ideas are perfect, but I think there must be some middle ground, a way for prisoners to be made to pay their own way while minimizing the possibility for abuse. In this economy it just seems like a waste of a good labor force.
I'm not giving you my opinion, I'm telling you how it is.
Can't decide which evil black rifle to buy? My thoughts.
