    Hell yeah! Hell no!
So generally, the leg-based takedowns(more judoesque sweeps) are the ones that will stay the most similar between empty-hand and with the longsword, yes?

I'm not sure I understand the question; the grappling component of longsword fighting includes judo-like leg sweeps (and even hip throws) as well as various takedowns using the sword as leverage against the opponent's neck, elbow joints etc.

Well, i'm trying to have the first session include takedowns that will work fundamentally the same way regardless of if they have a sword in their hands, so that we get the most functionality out of our short session

When you keep the sword it's only sensible to make use of it but there are throws that don't change much armed or unarmed. The first thing that comes to mind is a double leg takedown. The codex shows a bind into kron, to displace your opponents blade, followed by a bull double. That seems to work pretty well.

Oh, OK. There are throws and takedowns that literally depend on using the longsword to exert leverage, and there are others (as SBGApe mentioned) that only require minor modifications either way, or are identical whether you're armed or not.
