    headache from pushups

Hello again basically this is my situation about the headache thing during the pushups. I am 16 years old and i have done pushups for two years regularly everyday at one point one did 9*85 of them per day. The problem arose 2 days ago when i was really tired with nausia and i did some pushups. On the 40th one the back of my head started hurting quite a lot. It was a pulsating pain I stopped then i tried some more and it was fine however next few days after sleep i tried again and i got the headache. Today i came back from school i slept (in order not 2 screw up my head) i tried again, and again i got the headache but on the 3oth pushup just like last few days. And i am quite concerned since anything to do with the head might not end up nice. I have the headache now. PLEASE HELP

    I am not a doctor.

Make sure you are breathing properly while doing the push up. I have a bad habbit of holding my breath while lifting weights that can cause headaches.

    maybe it's a tumor.

does it happen during other exercises? pull ups, running, etc?

BJJ might make you a better ground fighter, but Judo will make you a better dancer.

Blood pressure? Trapped nerve? Your brain has fallen out?

Go see a doctor, asking for a diagnosis on the internet isn't smart.

You're probably just holding your breath. Do pushups and look in the mirror. If your face is super flushed you need to concentrate on breathing in tune with reps.

If you've been sick with the flu or sick in general then you may have strained some muscles in your neck or upper back while they were weakened. Muscle strain in that area can cause wicked nasty headaches.
Apply heat to your neck and upper back for a day or two and don't do any pushups. After a couple of days of rest and heat try pushups again. If the pain persists see a doctor.

So this guy goes to his doctor. He says, "Doc, every time I do this, my arm hurts!"
The doctor says, "Well, then, don't do that."

(Translation: I recommend that you stop doing push-ups, at least for a while, and go see a doctor.)

Thank you a lot every one. Its just that i don't want to go to the doctor every time i get something because in Finland. Inflation is on the rise but yes I have stopped doing the push ups and the headache changed place. I think it was because when you wake up at 6 come back home at five and study for exams and then workout for 2,3 hours you tend to over strain your body. So I am going to take it easy next few days. Thank you! :)
