its been shown that antibiotics don't kill viruses, just bacteria, so not necessarily depending on what "raging shits" are tearing through Sheep's house (why am I reminded of The Blob?)

Yeah, acidophlus can help, so can yogurt. Pedialyte is also a very good nourisher/hydrater. Its made for kids but grown-ups can use just fine.

Also, supermodels drink Pedialyte, eat plain bagels and pieces of lettuce to help keep their "form" when getting into shape for the next big shoot:

    You'd be amazed.

As it happens, the bug was actually an airbourne virus, though eating things that help the benign bacteria in one's gut still helps a great deal.

    eewww, sorry bub!

Did the couch get blob-flowed out thru the door and the little dog get sucked in? I think only a flamethrower will hurt it, bullets and swords definitely won't work.

As an aside: most green supplements have a good deal of probiotics included so if you are taking your Greens+ (or other greens) you're getting your daily dose of acidophilus and others. Kind of killing two birds there.

It has to have real ginger in it, though. Otherwise, you're actually upsetting your stomach more, in which case you're much better off with seltzer.

Are you by yourself; meaning, do have anyone with you to help?
Keep an eye on it; if you're not on the mend in a day or two, go to the docs/ER.

I once waited too long to get help and it was one of the worst week's of my life.

I'm OK now, but my girlfriend's sister also got it and had to go to Casualty/ER as a result of severe dehydration, aggravated by really nasty oral thrush. She lost a stone due to water loss.

The lesson here is to keep drinking at all costs. The tips given on this forum have helped no end too.

But yes, it's a **** time of year.

I'd go to the hospital if its more than one or two days. I once got Norovirus from somewhere, maybe kids, IDK and had to go get rehydrated with an IV. In those situations, what people find is they cant drink enough to replace what they've lost between raging diarrhea and exorcist-like vomit, that's where problems arise. be careful you don't let it run too far.

    A quick update - I've taken El Macho's advice.

There are no armadillos left in Dagenham. Not since the Wars of Woe, where the last great company of Armadillo knights laid their lives down to defeat the Dread Lord Jerry The Gerbil and his hoard of sex deviant librarians.
