So you did 2,400 reps before every class? Sounds dumb, just too much. Overuse injury I would imagine.

To strengthen your grip/wrists do some sledgehammer levering, thick bar holds, use grppers, etc.

I kinda wonder how the WMA folks deal with this using oak or ash wasters.

The pells they hit are padded, and don't vibrate like tires.

    Week 2

    Hot damn.

I usually have some pretty extreme imbalance issues with how right side dominant I am. When trying to do kettlebell sets, for example, doing 5 sets of 5 reps for a cycle of excercises, my left arm usually hits failure about 45% of total reps of my right side

For record, this is usually 5 sets of 5 of swings, clean and press, snatches, and yaw presses.

So yesterday, after having done the hammer routine every other day since my first post, i'm now up to matching reps no problem.

Yes, that means I was training like a tard before.

Can you post any examples of these?

I can probably find some- unfortunately can't just take the video, because my schedule just precluded me from going to ARMA for the next quarter :(

Still looking for video. It's essentially a metal cross wrapped in foam and duct tape.

    YouTube - Pell Work

Yeah, i know. I just remembered this thread the other day.

    Other progress in power development

The mini-sledges are doing GREAT. My shoulder girdle is wicked-flexible, and my grip strength is getting better. So now, I'm heading back into more of a power cycle.

I've been thinking about medicine ball slams, but I'm encountering a problem....you can only do one side of the ROM explosively, so I feel like there's some imbalance there with the antagonist motions. i wish I had somewhere to slam the tires, but I don't always have time to go back to CTC while it's still open to do that.

So the basic idea is to do a power circuit with medicine ball slams and kettlebell snatches, which work the opposite movement explosively. I'm thinking warm up with axe choppers with the ball and kettlebell swings.

As usual, I thread necro to keep this **** organized.
