Style: Sub-Grap/MMA--
I did Wing Tsun for 5-6 years and have learnt that much of what i was taught does not work in a real alive situation. Since training MMA i have got very few WT concepts and techniques to work against a non- compliant skilled partner.
These days i use virtually No WT/WC in my stand up. -

If you are in a real life situation and your reactions kick in with the adrenaline dump and don't resemble your MA training at all or don't work then there is something wrong with the MA, a serious lack of realistic conditioning and drilling
Now having said that I believe every martial art has probably worked in "real life" at once.
This is however usually due to the receiver being a) very drunk b) a complete *****
That is why anecdotal evidence for ANY martial art is a relatively useless measuring stick. -

So, we will now have our third stupid wing chun thread. The hood mentality is crippling disease, that attacks your nervous system. It makes you nervous of the system. Every time your teacher says "Now on the street...", "Things may be one way in sport fighting, but in a real fight...", "When fighting with no rules..." or anything like those, big red fucking flags should go up. There are literally hundreds of threads and dojo reviews on this site that explain why. Lurk a little, and then say your piece.
