Here's my new movie idea - The Last Gretzky
A Japanese sushi chef gets stuck in Canada cuz of his invalid passport and ends up living with a bitter jaded hockey veteran of the NHL (due to some convoluted immigration program run by a fat white dude that's evil). After a period of resistance to the local barbarians (who drink lots of beer and get into fist fights in bars, where our chef demonstrates his amazing skills in Karate but gets beat up by the captain of the Penguins, who is evil as well), the chef realizes that hockey contains the very thing he is missing in his life, barbarian manliness. He then proceeds to learn english, get the hot blond chick and learns hockey to an NHL level in just 2 months. His skill level is at such a high level that he manages a slap shot from across the ring on the star goalie. As part of the training, he eats sushi made from fish from the Great Lakes and has a hallucinogenic dream where he sees a yellow tiger with a hockey stick beating on a penguin. Finally, in the grand finale, he assists the veteran in making the game winning goal - the crowd goes crazy and the Queen of England knights him as Sir. Sushi Chef. Suddenly, the entire team dies of some jock-strap skin disease but somehow the japanese guy survives and lives happily ever after with the blond chick.
Punches in bunches and kicks kicks kicks!

Hmmmm I was thinking about more of a historical movie that would take place just after the US civil war called “The Last Dragon”.
To give a short rundown of the plot… Basically a Japanese Samurai gets shipwrecked off of the coast of Alabama and through a twist of fate ends up becoming the Grand Dragon of the KKK.
It could have happened.

I think they should make a sequel "The Second Last Samurai".
Cuz someone must have died before this main dude in the movie.
The REAL thread killer

It's a great movie.
Awesome sets and costumes, nice pastural shots, not too many cliches in the dialogue, a hot Japanese model is in it, the battle scenes were not overdone, Cruise was semi-competant with the sword and with his Japanese... Nothing to hate here and a lot to love.
While it isn't original within the genre its still badass to see a modern samurai film. Cruise just becomes an average warrior he isn't anything compared to Katsumoto and the other elites.

THERE ARE NINJAS!
Its not out here yet, I'm going to see LOTR tomorrow and Last Samurai soon tho.
Loved the sword stuff in the trailer, cant wait to see if I can recognise any of the Aiki stuff.
And just as a side note, EVERYONE knows that Jujutsu is better than Ninjutsu....... Because Samurai beat Ninja..... Scissors Vs Paper..... its that simple.
