The last samurai, what happend?

I am really surprised at the "lack" of success of the last samurai, it IS a very good film.

Why do you thinkl its is doing so "poorly" ?

Cruise back lash perhaps?

maybe, I liked CTHD, it was very artisticly well done with excellent choreography.
But then again so was Last Samurai, but maybe it had too much death?

no, the problem is TOM CRUISE AS A SAMURAI.

the guy looks ridiculous in kote, and cant handle a sword for ****.

I loved the Last Samurai, I thought was done very well. Definitely a Cruise back lash, which is sad because this was a very "unCruise" movie.

I thought he was great in the role!

Any other year, I think that movie would be oscar worthy. Stupid LOTR!
