After 6 years, he should not be saying things like this. I don't think this is going to end well.

    edit: oh yeah, wrong forum.
Sorry, how do I move it? Also, how do I get the tabs at the top (military, etc).

They (a moderator) already moved it for you.

About the tags, you have to show a moderator proof. I got mine from Wolf, you could try asking him.

Actually, I'm half (half vietnamese/japanese), and my good friend Kenji is half (half japenese/irish), so I guess together we're the only japanese person in anaheim lol.

I forgot to add, that during my discussion with the guy regarding him saying his instructor "could never be taken down" I responded by telling him every fighter in the UFC, Pride, etc no matter how good has been taken down at least once, to which he said "those guys aren't my instructor, just come and see for yourself." I'm really looking forward to seeing this guy.

Forgive me, but 10:1 nothing will ever happen here.

If you actually do go to the school, at least try to give us detailed account of what is said and what happens. When you get some time alone with the instructor, ask him some tough questions.

That was my plan, to actually "respectfully" ask questions regarding what he would to in various scenarios and try to get a detailed demonstration. In the least, I want to have a light sparring session with the guy that started the whole thing, and let him know that 6 years is a really long time to not be able to defend against someone who's been doing it less than two. I will try to videotape everything if at all possible.

If it's strictly a style vs. style discussion, 6 years should give him a major advantage against someone 2 yrs in training.

If: his style>your's, he should be able to prove it himself.

I think he just found out: your balls>his.

Its telling that after six years in the art he isn't at all confident in it.

My guess is you are going to hear about crotch ripping, eye gouging, and center line punching. Maybe about elbow to the spine and knee to the face. My suggestion is that you are polite until these bullshit methods are mentioned, then ask him to demonstrate at full speed and contact against you. Don't be afraid by size. Then take him down and ask him again.

I had a teacher suggest he could escape an armbar by pinching my ankle. I didn't bother arguing, I sat down and ask him to do it. He quickly revised his opinion after getting armbared.
