    Hell yeah! Hell no!

looking for support on a new venture

hello to all the strikers out there,

im playing with an idea of creating a website dedicated to muay thai, sanshou and other eclectice striking arts. I know there are a lot of sites out there, but i thibnk that i can create something that will be a little different. This is just another way for me to give back to the muay thai community and fullfill my creative writing jones at the same time.

the only question is, would the muay thai and other striking communities be interested in seeing something well done and include lots of in depth information? and best of all it will all be TOTALLY FREE TO EVERYONE.

    any ideas or opinions?

If you can include some more intermediate/advanced articles on things other than most sites 'this is how you throw a cross' I'll definitely check it out.

    good idea,

i was wanting to includde things like articles, training stuff such as pad drills, videos how to properly hold thai pads, ect... i would also set out a way for people to write and post thir own stuff (of course they keep all rights to the article), as a way for people to be heard. as stated before i'm still playing with a lot of ideas about it in my head

More about competition. Muaythai.com lists many, many straight up techniques. It's awesome, but I would wanna see more about actually going to fight in thailand and other countries. Good camps around the world people could get in contact with to start fighting.

And actually compiling a national or international list of current sanshou tournaments would be great too, because alot of people have trouble finding them.

I'll think of some other stuff too.

**** yea- results from big tournaments in thailand stadiums would be cool, keeping us americans up-to-date on whats goin down over there.

The first thing I thought of when I seen your post, was a more striking type of site than lockflow.com. Which I think would be rockin.

Off the top of my head I could think of things like :
*History and growth of the arts (which I think understanding the art is a good ideal if your gonna be using it.)

*What gear is used in it and why
    *Advanced and simple techniques.
I know it’s hard(er) to find advanced techniques on Muay Thai and Sanda online.

*Maybe more info on the Muay Thai clinch and the Sanda Throws/take downs, because those are both shining elements of the arts that I think make them shine as a fighting styles.

    *Training Techniques that are used.

*Seminar and event information on just striking arts
