I don't know which one you were, but you both suck.

TEA..
The reason the spin kick is a "lottery" kick is because most people don't use the proper footwork or set it up first. Even if you do set it up first and use the proper footwork, its not a high percentage technique, but it becomes more viable than the way you were doing it.
Unfortunately, I do not have video to refer you to that demonstrates what I'm talking about.... -

Not to wild about the hands down or the falling down after landing the kick, but his timing is good.

Another one, this time using it as a counter, which is what I was trying to do, but 1bad stopped attacking after one punch and didn't oblige me by charging into my kick.

And just so the Sambo guys don't feel left out:

I like the fact that the Sambo fighter in blue doesn't fall down after he lands the kick.Last edited by TEA; 10/03/2008 8:29pm at .

I have 1 real fight KO via spin-kick, 2-3 landed in sparring, some mistimed and just slid off the face with little damage. I don't think it's as risky as a kick as its made out to be, when done properly it lands you right back in your stance and transitions into a jab or left uppercut well when kicking with the right foot from a right handed stance.
Can I do it now? No farking clue, my friends and I got a little too tough to be throwing high powered hard to pull kicks on each other, after one accidental sparring KO I called it quits on kicking my friends, that was when I was like 18, Im 26 now.
