The technique was a plain old RNC, and although a properly done RNC is very quick (and we can assume that Batman is fucking really good at BJJ and also that Harvey Dent had no clue he had to defend a choke), it probably wouldn't be instant like that. It would probably take about 5 seconds of purple-face flailing.

Now, the best thing about when Hollywood does movie scenes like this is that children, girls nerds worship us fighters for the skills they suppose we all have to have, because it happened on tv, so it got to be true....
