If we're going to do a "USA vs ------" season of TUF, why England? Don't get me wrong, I know that those crimson clad dastards are our oldest enemies, but why not Russia? Or Japan? You know, somewhere that actually has an MMA scene comparable to ours. (A USA vs Russia could do very well, with the Cold War heating up again.)

And as for why they don't do a TUF for Heavyweights: Most of the HWs who aren't already signed to a competing promotion are out of shape fatties who are good for maybe two minutes of action and after that three rounds of sweaty man hugging.

Well mostly USA vs UK because they speak english (barely) so the target audience can understand them.
As the UFC fan base becomes less "bud lighters" and more "knowledge driven fans" the need for foreign/non english speakers will become apparent to ZUFFA.

Isnt Freeman fighting in the IFL? I read that somewhere...not sure.

Last I heard he was coaching a team, it was about the same time that Mario Sperry signed on and that they went from "silly animal name teams" to just fight gyms. Or so the one episode I saw at three in the morning on FSN would have me believe.

True that. Much as I hate to say it, this it likely to consist largely of a bunch of my countrymen getting horribly out-wrestled.

Or take a page from Dutch kickboxing and make it "USA vs. the world!".

To be fair to us Brits we have a whole generation of good young fighters coming through, the scene here is definetely small-time compared to the US but as for picking 10 or so top quality young Pro's i think we could give anyone a good run for their money.
