Thyroid issues effecting training
So for the past year I have been trying to get back in the swing of things. Stretching, running and such and as the year has gone by, I have only gotten worse and my stamina has gone to the crapper, or so I thought anyways.
Checked with my doctor for a routine exam and it turns out I have what they call a multinodular toxic goiter, wtf!!!
Long story short, this thing has been wreaking havoc on me, thought I had bad asthma from my bought of pneumonia, nope, its my thyroid surrounding my esophagus when I start any physical activity. It also amps up my heart rate etc..
So, has anyone else on here dealt with an issue like this, and if so, what have you done training wise to help work through it?
I get to go in for surgery to have so of it removed in another month or so.
