OK, this is a place for all you people that want to argue about something vs. BJJ to come, argue, flame, etc, to do it.
Some of us are more than a little tired of every fucking topic being breaking down into a brawl and name calling.
    Thank you and good day.
And that's when I figured out that tears couldn't make somebody who was dead alive again. There's another thing to learn about tears, they can't make somebody who doesn't love you any more love you again. It's the same with prayers. I wonder how much of their lives people waste crying and praying to God. If you ask me, the devil makes more sense than God does. I can at least see why people would want him around. It's good to have somebody to blame for the bad stuff they do. Maybe God's there because people get scared of all the bad stuff they do. They figure that God and the Devil are always playing this game of tug-of-war game with them. And they never know which side they're gonna wind up on. I guess that tug-of-war idea explains how sometimes, even when people try to do something good, it still turns out bad.

Yeah people(grapplers mostly) are tired of it cause it threatens them. All the hard work they put into gaining their skills and then someone comes along and tries to open their eyes to the flaws of it, so they feel like they have to lash out at the truth because they 1. don't want to admit it or 2. are so blind they can't see the truth at all. I don't think grappling is useless by any means (not to mention great fun and one hell of a workout) but there's a time and place for it, and I've already spoken of the dangers of rolling on the ground, clinching on the feet, and attempting submissions.

I am tired of it because it is the same point over and over and over and over again. It is not like anyone comes along and says anything earth shaking.
However, I would like to see some guys go to a BJJ school and challenge them to go outside and fight.

I'm planning on doing that actually, Greese. But I want no rules, minus the weapons of course : ) Cause I could just end it by stabbing the poor bastard with my knife a couple times. : ) I don't think anyone's said anything 'earth shaking' because all the grapplers already knew of the dangers, they just felt that 'no, that can't happen to me,' so they ignored alot of other factors. But it CAN happen. A lot of people might win in real street fights with grappling, but it just takes that one guy who has a weapon, or friends, and you get shot, stabbed or beaten to death. AND SINCE YOU NEVER KNOW IN WHICH CONDITIONS YOU ARE FIGHTING, wouldn't it be safe to say that you should try to stay on your feet and not risk those things happening? It could even happen in some grappler's first fight; get stabbed, then what? That's what I'm trying to say.

I have the ultimate solution.. How about we all become scared of the big bad people out there, and whenever we are confronted, we run like a bunch of Pussies.... at least I wont get HURT or STABBED

Well the first rule of self defense is avoid a confrontation if possable. : ) But develop skills that can be used in a wide variety of situations. That's why streetfighting is so dangerous. Anything can happen, and why it's best to avoid it.

I just want to say that I'm not trying to put any grapplers down or say grappling is a piece of ****, I'm just trying to make everyone realise the possabilities because since everyone wants to talk about self defense and streetfighting. If people want to talk about sport then that's cool. I love that stuff too. Then you can talk about how you got the arm bar on a guy and he submitted, and not that he pulled out a gun after his arm snapped and put a bullet in your head (of course if that happened, you wouldn't be talking about it :D).
