posthumous honoring of Evan Tanner in the ufc hall of fame.

posthumous honoring of Evan Tanner in the ufc hall of fame.

We think that Mister Tanner, with his courage. devotion for the sports and great samurai spirit should be a "posthumous spokesman"for the ufc and be showed as an exemple for the next generations of mma fighters. To achive this i propose the ufc management , zuffa inc, mister Dana white and the Fertitta brothers too intronised in posthumous title Mister Evan Tanner in the ufc Hall of Fame.

By signing this petition your showing ur support to this idea and it will be send to the UFC management.

    Thx a lot

    Sebastien

    ..."intronised"?

There's no good deed in setting up an online petition, I don't doubt that it was well intentioned, but spending ten minutes at iPetitions does not a good samaritan make.

A good deed would be examining the causes of his death and working towards helping others who may have the same factors in their lives.

Evan Tanner was a man with personal demons that made him put himself in harms way, that made him take the decision to not attempt a return from his camp despite having both gas and water, a man who lost the best years of his fighting career and his life in general to alcoholism, a man who for some reason never stayed in a single training camp to gain some stability in his life. Try taking this as opportunity to help highlight the problems of other current and former fighters who may turn to alcohol or drugs.

So, to reiterate, online petition achieve nothing. Particularly if they seek to lionise someone for their tremedous skills and acheivements without admiting their feet of clay that brought them to their untimely ends and learning from that.

And the only reason you know this is because he was so open about his problems because he didn't want other fighters to fall into the same old patterns that had controlled his life. For this he should not olny be remembered but revired.

No more argueeing or this will be banned to trollshido.

No, trolling gets moved to Trollshido, discussion and even arguement stays in the Discussion Forums.
