I wasn't aware that TNA has staged these type of fights before. I have never 'really' watched TNA.
I was aware that some pro wresters train in MMA and BJJ (namely The Undertaker). To be honest, I don't know if TNA is trying to develop as a sort of UFC offshoot or if they are just trying to tap further into the MMA fan base.
I think that it would be a hell of a show if the WWE would alter their product and pit their fighters against one another (trained just as they are) in real fights.Last edited by threetoe; 9/12/2008 12:11pm at .

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris -

I saw Trigg on TNA last week while flipping through channels because I was too cheap to buy the UFC 88 PPV. I'm cool with Trigg making extra money, but he needs to go to a different promotion, preferably one that doesn't have Kurt Angle. Them dudes look TOO MUCH ALIKE. It's confusing.
Or maybe they could do a storyline with them as long-lost brothers or something, that could work. -

Prowrestling and MMA have the same demographic so it makes sense. Kurt Angle has been training MMA for a while for a supposed switch to MMA which will never happen, but he had an MMA fight with Samoa Joe for the title at the last PPV and won.

It's called 'The Pele', noob!
