For jiu jitsu I just started wearing my blue Vulkan that I bought last year. I wanted to give my White Vulkan a break. I have no complaints whatsoever about my gis. I shouldn't be in the market for gis anytime soon.

With that said...What about Dragao Kimonos? I've been hearing nothing but good things about that brand of gi. I've also heard they come in 1/2 sizes which is uncommon.

Koral's navy/dark blue is close to what I think kendo gi's are like. One of the blackbelts at my school was wearing one last night, it looked pretty nice. Very expensive though.

seam ripper for the win, if you can't get one without the patches.

The color is a really dark blue, moreso than the picture indicates.

I didn't realize the upper limits of their A2 was so high. Their A1 is 5'6"/155lbs which seems like a very bulky person to me. I am shrinking it now (i hope), but they claim to be pre-shrunk.

Right now I am torn, the fabric has a nice feel but it is huge. The A2 korals I have fit perfectly right out of the bag.

The gi has one big patch on the back and a medium size on the leg. It also has the brand name written across the upper arm. The gi top feels very solid. It is a one piece top. The bottoms are quite strange, they are like nothing else I have felt. They are very soft and almost like pajamas. At the same time they feel a bit restrictive just walking around with them. Though to e fair this will probably improve with a bit of shrinkage and waering in. The pants have a rope belt which is very very nice. I was easily able to tighten up the pants. Even out of the bag the Korals and my gamenes were a pain to tighten and my koral drawstrings always come undone.

It arrived in about a week from Canada to the US and they gave me a free t-shirt. I'll update it when/if I can get it to shrink...right now i am a little sad because I was debating this or another Koral or a Venum.
sorry to here you were not satisfied with the gi. how did it fit after you washed it?

It's weird you said it was huge on you as i compared the gi the other day to a keiko A2, and a vulcan A2 and the cut was the slimmest out of the 3. but the upper level of the A2 was around 200lbs we realized this a bit later but you would of been too tall for the A1.

we are in the process of getting more gis made and playing with the size chart a bit and adding slim and beeffy size to A2, A3, and A4 sizes so hopefully that will get rid of all the sizing issues we come across, but regardless i'd love to get your feedback on the cut and how it compares to other gis you own as you own.

Just got a Ouano super light gi in the mail. I'll probably wear it tomorrow or saturday (no-gi tonight). I like the fit of the jacket and pants (pants are a bit long though) and feel of the rip-stop pants. Was going to go with an Atama Mundial 9 but decided to buck the herd.
