I've trained with Brown and think he's a very personable and great guy and even I think he had the second round and was winning the third... until the takedown and few solid hits. Even then the third round wasn't a clear win for his opponent, but it was not close enough to complain about. They both put on a good fight and showed off their respective skills - Kim's offensive grappling, Brown's takedown defense, etc.
I also think his "bad grappling" such as trying to finish with that choke/neck crank from kesa gatame and so on is probably a result of his recent extensive training with Matt Hume and generally trying to be a catch wrestler.
No disrespect to Mr Brown, my complaint is over Joe Rogan's behaviour, it was not appropriate.
