    Roadwork Idea

    I will be going on vacation next week. My boxing coach wants me to include time for roadwork to get my heat rate up. I will be visiting a friend who is in a wheelchair and also want to spend time with her. I started brainstorming. My friend has a nonpowered chair and I was thinking if she was okay with the idea, pushing her on a smooth surface while doing my roadwork. It would be a good workout for me as well as strength conditioning while we did something together. Would that be a good idea?

    Sounds kinda fun actually ... if you are pushing her you are gonna half to pass on the Rocky-esq head movements and shadow boxing . I am assuming she will know if it is safe to get her wheelchair up to high speeds .

    Just defer to her judgment about the speed and the route you two are taking ( assuming she knows her way around wheelchair and town ) and it should be fine .

    Not literally on my toes. The weights are in my hands. I meant I have to do boxing footwork on the balls of my feet & ties while holding the weights in a defensive position. I then go down and punch with the weights and then duck like evading a headshot.
