    CMA fight Gear

I'm wondering if there is a website for equipment specifically for Sanda/Sanshou. Something similar to this, if anyone knows of one.

    www.muaythaistuff.com

The muay thai stuff is basically the same stuff, I'd imagine. Unless you just wanted to look stylistically different. Then you could go with the Everlast gear with the Chinese characters. Its pretty decent gear.

I know gloves, headgear, etc. are the same, but I was wondering about the cut of the shorts particularly.

What do those Chinese characters on the everlast gloves mean anyway? I never really liked how they were written.

    your sarcasm meter is broken.

as far as the gear goes, everyone just uses muay thai gear. as far as the shorts go, they look to be the same as muay thai shorts, only instead of saying "muay thai" in thai, they say "sanda" in chinese (or that's what i assume they say, as i am mostly illiterate in chinese.) i wear the plain black ones with no writing, or sprawl shorts.

in my school we spar on mats or the hardwood floor, because we don't own a ring. if a fighter is going to have a ring fight, we rent time at fighthouse and use their ring for some practice.

if you're talking about competition, i have seen everything from a platform to a ring, to just a mat area (with the penalty for going off the mats the same as if you fell off the platform.)
