Now this is my kind of tournament.

    The Good:
The rules- very simple 95% of all submissions are allowed. All throws allowed as long as you don't land them on their head.

Round 1 3 minutes- no points (promotes actual submission attempts)
Round 2 2 minutes- points given
    a. 1 point for a throw
    b. 1 point for bettering a position (really easy to understand)
    1. Position hierarchy: Non Dominant, Neutral, Dominant.
    2. You get a point for going from Non Dominant to Neutral or Neutral to Dominant
Round 3 Sudden death (now this was weird) First person to hit the ground loses.

Everybody at this tournament was great (except apparently me as a ref yelled at me for not understanding the "First person to hit the ground loses" rule.).

Met up with Shinbushi from bullshido and even got take a picture with Gene Lebell.

If you get a chance to do this tournament I highly recommend it.
It was nice finally meeting you. This was our 4th time attending

Where did you hear that? In the rules meeting (each time) they specifically state you can do sacrifice throws, but if you screw it up you loose.

It is for the judo (or any throwing art) guys who prefer throws. In round 2 you can throw get up (From a neutral position or you loose a point) throw, get up rinse and repeat. Each time getting a point.

...so omega can't listen to rules?
In summation your argument denotes a lack of intellectual honesty on your part. It is my contention that this matter would best be solved with fisticuffs. I believe I will be victorious in this regard.

No, it actually happened on our mat. One guy did a sacrifice throw the other guy got thrown but since the other guys butt hit the ground first the guy who got thrown lost. My guy went for a take down it didn't work after they broke by guy tripped over himself and sat on his butt. My guy lost.

Like I said I'd like a clarification on this rule.

The ref's ruling was that he lost because he tripped or that his takedown was countered and the opponent scored a takedown?

Because he fell. Notice my guy was not given the take down points in the second round either. It's not that big of a deal. I was down on the floor and it looked completely different to me.

Did you teach him this "variation" of the rubber guard? PS: A lot of take down attampts get stuffed, should work on that
Sometimes you lose and sometimes the other guy wins.

At this point I don't owe anybody an explenation.

    Schools I trained at:
Lotus Club Cetepe Liberdade Sao Paulo

I don't teach the "rubber guard" as part of my normal curriculum only if it's necessary. Oh you mean like the duck under that he did in round 2 which took him down and didn't get the take down?

    (smart ass)
