    I'm sorry, I thought it was a valid comment, and no on had addressed it as yet.

    Do you feel the hands were in acceptable positions?

    Black looks like some kinda retarded malfunctioning TKD bot. I wish it had been Omega he was sparring with instead. Also, grey needs to learn some sweeps to increase the comedy.

    my initial thought exactly. but then I heard that he was really happy with how he looked in the video and I was confused, hence this thread.

    here's a link to the toronto throwdown video thread, there are a couple more videos there.

    Takedowns are a non-issue. I wasn't planning on taking him down at all but he just begged for it at the end.

    Hands were dropping due to fatigue, and also I do have a bad habit of keeping them low. I personally don't see any problem with letting them drop when outside of striking distance but obviously I was doing more than just that.

    Point taken re: foot sweeps, I've been trying to add them in a bit more but its been slow.

    That might be because you didn't throw very many strikes at him. Maybe because he was constantly moving away from you, but you threw about four or five strikes per minute. You could have better showed him the error of his ways if you hit him more.

    It really wasn't an issue seeing as how he rarely hit you, but if you stayed in range you could have hit him more.

    There was a series of kicks at 3:04 from black that I've never seen and hope to never see again.

    After watching part of the JP/AngryMonkey sparring, I have to ask: why were you being so nice?

    Agreed. And I personally would have clinched him and done stuff to him from there, though you said you weren't going to take him down so that removes like, half the things I would have done.

    It's all about the clinch. The clinch, I said.

    Oh, feedback, you wanted feedback.

    I'm really glad you're not the guy in the black. Because I can see that professional fighter tag and if its the guy in the black, I want to go and get paid to fight guys like that all the time.

    Tippy tappy kicks are frustrating as hell. Mostly because you can tell sometimes that the other guy is stoked that he's hitting you. He's not even aware that this isn't "hitting" by any means.

    If he's happy with his performance, god bless him.

    Punching off a kick check would have given you a little distance past his guard, as long as you make sure you're moving in when you do it.

    But I understand why he was being nice, what are you going to gain from pasting that guy?

    Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
    and remember what peace there may be in silence.
    As far as possible, without surrender,
    be on good terms with all persons.
    Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
    and listen to others,
    even to the dull and ignorant;
    they too have their story.

    -excerpt of the poem called "Desiderata," by Max Ehrman, 1927.

    I've also had the pleasure of dealing with tippy-tap fighters who get all puffy in the chest after a rousing session of tag/footsie. It was clear who the superior fighter was, and if he's too delusional to see that, then I don't envy him.

    Some people just care more about looking pretty than being effective.
