You clearly didn't take him down when you could have, probably due to those crapy puzzle mats and wooden floor.

His style leaves him wide open for takedowns.

    I agree with Goju.

Mr. Grey could have taken down Mr. Black several times. Towards the end that looked like a pretty smooth takedown. Mr. Black was asking for it. Mr. Black could have had a takedown when the ground scuffle ended at around 5:02.

Mr. Black has ridiculously quick legs and pretty good punches it looks like. He should take up some judo or wrestling.

dude... that dude leans forward when he punches, which is ASKING for a takedown or a leg sweep.

and more so, those tippy tappy kicks are asking for a single leg td.

it's kinda hilarious that grey gets progressively more pissed off throughout the match.

Not really enough going on to make much of a judgment. Sparring on an open mat in the middle of a big room is really annoying, especially as a shorter person sparring a taller person (and especially if that taller person just wants to hang back and kick). You can't really utilize aggression and infighting as a shorter fighter if you have to stop every time you get to the edge of the mat. I would try a little harder to stay on the inside working close in leg kicks, overhands and uppercuts. I don't really have any criticisms though since I know what a pain it is to spar under these conditions.

TKD guy should try and hop around less and focus more on controlling the range and keeping you on your heels. He's letting himself get backed up too much, something which results in what happened when you got him against the wall.

Try to arrange something in a ring next time and I'd probably have more to go on =P

Is there a policy up there about not keeping your hands up?

Being many Canadians are of French descent,

I would have thought it would come more naturally.
If you can't laugh at yourself,
Others will be happy to do it for you. :evil6:
