New BJJ classes in Newport, RI

Until now, the closest place to get good BJJ instruction to Newport, RI was a 45 minute drive into Providence. Newport now has it's very own place to learn BJJ. If you, or anyone you know, lives on Aquidneck Island and is looking for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training, my friend Pat is now teaching at Newport Martial Arts Center in Middletown. The schedule is 7:30 - 9:00PM Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, with open mat on Saturday 10 AM - 12 PM. The first month is free, but you need to buy or bring your Jiu Jitsu Gi. The classes will be all gi, so it is mandatory.

Pat is a brown belt under Tim Burrill. He is a former Navy Seal (Team 8), and has deployed numerous times to Iraq and Afghanistan in a special ops role. Most importantly, he is a super nice guy and a great teacher.
