All "Nar Har BartMan Tee Hee" aside, the system LOOKS solid from the few demos on youtube.

YouTube - Keysi KFM Promo Video

Less trapping, more elbows, a solid "OH ****" guard used as a framework for offense (the same guard used in most MMA), and the appearance of resistance training.

Hell, I'd rather see a style like this in the media than "Wire Fu" ala "House of Flying Daggers".

It looks quite interesting, I'd like to give it a try but the last time i checked there weren't any schools in London.

Those headbutts and the "covering head with the arm"- elbows looked like xinyiliuhe to me.

    But it wasn't XYL
..wait I'm sure I had a point..Oh yeah! It was that those elbows are neat and I have no idea what KFM is.

Really? Ha, shows how much attention I pay. There's at least 2 articles in this month's Martial Arts International - excessive or what? And I still failed to notice the "dojo" address.

Oh, well, it can't be that important then. :icon_stud

Do you mean Martial Arts Illustrated?

I picked it up for the first time in ages the other day and noticed the Keysi front cover. I've heard that Andy and Justo are JKD instructors under Dan Inosanto and that KFM is JKD with headbutts and a novelty guard.

Those body headbutts are retarded; totally ineffective and put your most important body part at risk for very little benefit.

Edit, ok I just realized those are training headbutts that would hit the face in a "real" fight. I still think using your head too much is stupid. That is where your eyes are and you may want to maintain situational awareness.

Stigander: yeah I noticed that as well :\ wasn't born in the Dojo, was born in t3h str33tz. I'll hold my crticism however, can't learn much about a style just from watching a 4min promotional video.

Yeah, you're right. Shows how much attention I pay to it (and I get it Monthly along with COMBAT). Still, I do spot some items of interest amongst the more, er, "uncritical" articles that just beg to be flipped through.

[Note to self: "Illustrated", say it again....]

    Cheers
