    Hell yeah! Hell no!
I've said it before on here. I went to an aikido class a few times. I asked the instructor a question about its application and he told me to "Think of Aikido as a way of life, not as a means of self defense".

    I quit right after.

    Go Kan Ryu

Half-arsed, made up, pretend, short-bus, non-contact krotty sold in a pyramid marketing-type style.
Misrepresented as a martial art to inexperienced end-users who assume a black-and-white belted instructor knows what they are doing.
Door-to-door pressure-selling of an inferior product.

I work in education, so I tend to have issues with TKD because it's so popular as an after school activity. I feel like teaching BS to children who don't know any better is a greater crime then teaching BS to adults who should be sensible enough to reject it.

I also have issues with olympic style fencing. It's a fun sport but, I fenced as a teenager because fencing is sold as swordsmanship & I object to the false advertising.

    Oh, look: a little knight.

    XMA
    'nuff said!

    as for vendettas. . .
    "You killed my mother,
    you raped my sister,
    dirty bastard, I'll kill you!"

    Or,
"You have dishonored my family & you
    have dishonored the Shaolin Temple!"

Any MA instructor that intellectually, philosophically,
and/or ethically does either of the above should die.

    `~/

btw - about the xma: my nephew basically
"earned" a jr BB in krotty by demonstrating
moves he learned watching "Ninja Turtles,"
even though they had nothing to do with any
of the techniques he leaned in the class.

That actually sounds completely fine. I certainly would've had more of a problem if he said the opposite.
