I'm not saying that they are puppets - but NK has been saying that for years. I'm just pointing out the fact that the ROK jumped when the US asked them to. It kinda leaves them open to criticism, wouldn't you agree?

Did you notice that other countries did not do the same thing?

    Okay then.
Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog

That's what I posted before. I didn't say they were puppets, nor do I agree with it.

Does this seem like a reasonable comparison?

    1) Vietnam had two large patrons--the USSR and China.
    2) Vietnam had the inviolable North as an operating base.
    3) Vietnam had relatively sh*tty terrain.
    4) Vietnam had the North Vietnamese Army

    Iraq has?

Iraq has alot of US soldiers dying senslessly...as did Vietnam.

Does that sound like a reasonable comparison to you?

We had around 25 soldiers die in a chow line when an errant 105mm shell shot out of safe. Yep, I never realized Lawton was like Vietnam.

Put another way, if you see Iraq as another Vietnam, it's because it suits you to do so. While there might be other valid comparisons out there (Beirut comes to mind), Vietnam is a poor match.
