Seoul is wrapping up the troops dispatch bill, heading for Iraq.
The last I heard they are planning to send 3,000 troops.

Christ...I hope they're sending careerists. What Americans fail to understand about this controversy is that the ROK military is not an all-volunteer, professional force.
When sons who were drafted to serve in "national defense" start dying in Iraq...No Mu-Hyeon is going bye-bye.
Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog

Iraq......it's getting to be as bad as Vietnam.
No one in their right minds would get involved in that fracas. It certainly gives merit to what the North Koreans were saying all along - that the ROK is just a puppet state for the US.

The korean govt. is only sending volunteers, and they promised to pay these volunteers much more money (I forget how much).
I think Pres. Roh Moo-hyun is also doing this volunteerily, what do others think?
What is it about what I said that you don't understand?

C'mon. Anything the NKs say is wrong by definition.

I agree. But it certainly doesn't look too good on the ROK when they jump in to help the US on a monumental screw up like Iraq - especially when they were asked (almost begged) for by the US to begin with.

Nobody's a puppet. States have needs. If they want something from one...quid pro quo. The only reason the NKs are nobody's puppet is because nobody cares.
