Truth. One day we had 7 oclock (am. its the summer, i don't function before 1. stfu, dont' judge me) orientation/training at work. **** me, that blew.

I don't do laundry. Well, i do, i just didn't do it the night before, and the only shirt i had was my "great lakes Brazilian jiu jitsu championship" t-shirt.

reluctantly, i put it on, went to work.

is-he-gaydude, the only other male waiter came up to me, "hey derek, you do jiu jitsu?"

Me: "yeah"

ihgd: "Awesome, i used to do tae kwon do (I don't care. ) I'm a blackbelt"

me: "congrats"

I'm pretty up front, when people ask me stuff. I don't brag, but i'm not going to lie or beat around the bush. If you say things a certain way, people understand you don't want to talk about it.

Like, tonight, my boss asked me waht happened to my face/arm. So i told him, "I train kickboxing and jiu jitsu. Just kinda got my ass kicked last night" and he smiled and left me alone to whore myself out to my tables.

Congrats and quitting that sales job budo. I used to work in sales doing cold calling aswell and unfortunately i made the mistake of mentioning i do MA. This one guy in the kept asking me to teach him, and not surprisingly there was also a pathological liar there aswell except this one was addicting to meth, and he reckons he used to be in the navy but got kicked out within 3 months of being there and he's only 17.

I never told him that I was int he UFC. I told him that I am training to fight MMA and that I used to fight in PKL and Naska for several years and that I won my division in the Pan AM nationals back in the late 90's and that I was out of shape but I was training to fight again.
