After i injured my hand even with 16 ounce boxing gloves on i am really scared to use normal punches in a real fight. If i ever get in a bar fight after this i really doubt i'll throw a punch unless i really have to. This seems like a good alternative but i don't think anything will beat the effectiveness of the good old elbow in a situation where you don't have hand protection.
A fight broke out on the bus on the way back from a Muay Thai fight night on friday and i had to have a good think about what i'd use if they forced me to get involved. No kicks and knees due to tight jeans and a stuffed main hand so all that would be left is the clinch and elbows really. -
How do elenchus?

Soft weapon + hard target (in terms of attacking a person) is retarded. That's like hitting someone in the forehead with your thigh or forearm or something muscley. Clearly you're much better off going for a hard-as-hell weapon like an elbow. That said, attacking the crown is generally a bad idea unless your weapon is harder than human bone.
Hard weapon + soft target is a surefire asswhupper, naturally.Lord Krishna said: I am terrible time the destroyer of all beings in all worlds, engaged to destroy all beings in this world; Of those heroic soldiers presently situated in the opposing army, even without you none will be spared.
