Hey, I used aikido and wing chun principals the other day when I was attacked with a bottle by a crazed, chemically altered female.
I used the aikido mobility to stay out of range and deflect the female's arms as she tried to strike with the bottle, and after I'd worn her down, I took the bottle from her with lightning chun-type slappy stuff.
Yes, my 9 year old niece was totally sugar-rushing at her birthday party and tried to squirt me with a bottle full of water.
Luckily, I didn't freeze.
I might have if my shorts got wet, it was a chilly day.
THANK YOU AIKIDO!Where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence.

Segal's movies only differ in names of characters and names of the movies them selves.

now now..i think the OP has a good point.
maybe its time to look in to these things.
maybe i do bjj because my dad didnt pay me enough attention and i feel small and insecure.
maybe there is something to say for aikido, its gentle, civilised, it has a long and rich tradition...
when to think of it, why would you roll around doing hard labour and complicated techniques when you can just throw someone efortlessly?
It s much more harmonious and a non violent solution.
maybe ill quit bjj and pick up aikido.
thank you op, this post really made me think.
