When I was in Thailand I noticed there was a disproportionately high number of southpaws compared to Canada and thought it was odd. I didn't observe it enough to whether or not there was more, but I remembered asking a guy training there who was in med school what he thought. He pretty much shrugged and said "I dunno, Thailand was never conquered, maybe they never summarily executed the lefties here?"

I noticed the same thing when i was in Thailand too. I think it may be a more accurate statement to say there is a bigger proportion of southpaw fighters over there than in the western fight world so i changed it to that.
I remember statements from one of our MT announcers saying something like 'Due to Bruce's stint in Thailand he is well versed in fighting southpaws and will have little trouble with this Thai lefty tonight.' That may have been the evolution 12 fight night, he landed left hook after left hook to the poor guy's liver/ribcage. -

Nice
Thanks Sang.
Ive been waiting for this guide. Nice tips. It's incredibly disappointing that southpaw Jabs are weak weapons.
And what about hooks or shovel hooks? I imagine slipping a left Jab and countering with a nice shovel hook off the lead hand to their rib cage would be effective. Or shovel hooks to the head. And it seems like a corkscrew punch would be pretty effective against left Jabs as well. -
