can silk stop a knife from cutting you?
i have heard this numerous times.
stories of handkerchiefs being worn around the neck, and european warriors wearing silk shirts under their mail for additional protection.

That has nothing to do with quilting.
I hate it when people just change the topic of a thread.
Neutral, or nearly so

Including the sewing of patches onto clothes with the noble lineage of quilting is a disgrace to the traditional art of quilting.
That is a basterdized western interpertation of the style.

**** this went downhill didn't it. Um, I 've been looking for a site and can't remeber the brand of the machine so I haven't got much except embroidery **** to. Basically the machine has a central piece containing the weights (you just put the pin in for your desired weight like lots of other machines out there) and then two arms with pulleys that can be move up and side to as far as you want. Basically you connect your leg, arm to the end of the pulley and you can basically mirror how you would do any kick, punch, block etc. Look I know its a bad explanation but as soon as I get the brand I'll find a site with the machine on it.
