Who even cares about swimmers? They're gay, and hairless.
Last time I checked, we live on land. Assholes.

srsly, great exercise but WTF!? who can swim 00:00.001 sec faster than the other streamlined dudes? And how did synchronized swmming make it to the big show? We need a World War soon, put this bullshit in perspective.

I don't mind the swimming, that can be badass sometimes.
What I DO have an issue with is...
..ugh........ SYNCHRONIZED DIVING. seriously? GAWDAMN SERIOUSLY?
The fact that this gets airtime over Judo just gives me a facepalm of epic proportions.
But in a country that allows ESPN to show the national championships of ROCK PAPER SCISSOR, I guess I shouldn't hold my breath.
...and no I'm not shitting you.

What is wrong with us? How come we can't force ESPN to show martial sports...I mean, c'mon, are we intimidated by RPS experts?

I'm going to place my money on "other swimmers." And, if my memory serves me correctly, there are a whole lot more people who swim than who did judo.
Also, I have tickets for Judo finals in Beijing on the 16th. Nyah nyah.

track and swimming i understand, gymnastics and diving are fucking retarded.
So you'd rather watch someone run down a track than flipping through the air? Personally, I enjoy watching gymnastics because it looks cool. I have no interest in seeing who's a tiny bit faster at running than everyone else, because it's just running.
However, Judo > everything else. I wonder if they'll be televised at a reasonable time in Canada.

Go to this link, enter in your local information, and you can get a day-by-day schedule of what's being broadcast.
And yes, you can only watch Judo online, but it's the same for TKD, and I'm guessing that there are more people who practice TKD than Judo in the U.S. these days.
Besides, they've got to make room for the thrilling Trampoline coverage. (Yeah, apparently Trampoline is a sport now.)

unisp (NBC cable channel Universal Sport) is replaying the trials. Wrestling and Judo are being aired together. It aired this morning, and they are re-playing on Tues, 8pm Eastern. For those who have cablevision, that is Channel 110 (Brooklyn).
Also on Tuesday, some wrestling championships are starting at 5pm, same channel. So Tivo/DVR from 5pm-10PM Tuesday night.

And the wierd thing is, BMX and Water Polo is being re-played at least 3X more often than these.
The boxing trials are being re-played too, but I forgot when. I caught a bit of the light weight trials.... Good stuff.
I'll assume that this channel will be playing or replaying everything the main channel won't
