    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Olympic Judo Schedule?

First off: I ran a search, found nothing on this.

So trolling around getting ready for the Olympics I was obviously excited for the Judo but found that in the US NBC would NOT be showing Judo on the TV but would possibly be streaming it. Also, on NBC's website I don't see an obvious "Oi, This is the Streaming Vids, Jerkoff" and their schedule is very confusing (granted, there's something that says Beijing hasn't finalized their schedule or something, but still).

    Has anyone found out:

    1. How to stream the videos online?

    2. When the Judo events will be held?

Any help greatly appreciated. Any info on the other combative sports (like schedule or whether it'll be US televised or not also appreciated)

I feel like the lack of representation of Judo in the US and all these dumbass reality tv shows where grown (ghey) men cry over failed cocktail dresses and such is the beginning of the end.

Also, I want to watch my local baseball team and there's a rerun of "Friends"

    Jesus.

Agreed. In this article Reser, member of the Olympic Judo Team who actually has a shot at a medal this year (fingers crossed) voiced his disappointment that the popularity of MMA has not increased the popularity of Judo in the US, even with success of Judo stars like Karo.

I would love to be able to watch this year's Judo.

I found http://en.beijing2008.cn/sports/judo/index.shtml which links to http://en.beijing2008.cn/sports/judo/n214419766.shtml which says that it's from August 9th to 15th.

At http://www.usjudo.org/ there's a calendar on the right sidebar that is clickable for...something vaguely useful?

This is prohibitively and stupidly hard.

like honestly, all they show in the olympics are the track events, gymnastics, swimming, and diving.

track and swimming i understand, gymnastics and diving are fucking retarded.

Win for being smart enough to check Judoforum first (I haven't been there in ages).

Find a link to streaming and I'll give you SIX INTERNETS.

Oh, and who the **** honestly enjoys watching swimming? "There's the giant, bubbly, splash with a head that is America's Hero, Paul Hamburger, which is in front of the other 5 identical splashy thingies with heads". Honest to God, there's so much idiotic "star worship" that decides what gets air-time and what doesn't that I end up hating all our athletes anyways.
