    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    WEC 35 this Sunday

The WEC will have 3 championship fights this Sunday, and it's FREE on Versus. How come there is no talk on this one? Condit has great submission skills (third title defence), Stann has not had a fight go past the first round, and Varner just won the title from Rob McCullough.

    Carlos Condit vs Hiromitsu Miura
    Brian Stann vs Steve Cantwell
    Jamie Varner vs Marcus Hicks
    Brian Bowles vs Damacio Page
    Micah Miller vs Josh Grispi

    Condit
    Stann
    and Hicks for the upset.

This was a pretty damn good card. Condit and Miura was a war.

Karo needs to take some Judo in MMA lessons from Miura :icon_tong

Was a fun night of fights. But am I the only one that thought they should have let the Condit/Miura fight go another round? I thought the stoppage was a little premature.

I thought so too. Carlos' punches weren't doing much damage. Miura was protecting himself...albeit barely. I would have given him more time to change positions. It isn't easy to do that when a fighter is on top of you raining down punches.

I was disappointed to see Micah get KO'ed so quickly. ..thought it would have been a longer and more exciting fight.

I was disappointed in Stann. I was rooting for him, but about 2 minutes into the first, I saw he was being outstruck. By the end of the first he was gassing and I knew that unless he hit a hail mary strike, the fight was over. I think it was probably over training (the gassing, not the striking). He came in at 201. That is a BIG weight cut.

miura/condit was so amazing... too bad the ref had to ruin it by standing them up so much.

Hard to argue the Miura stoppage was premature when the dude couldn't get up for like three minutes afterwards
