Real world stuff (out of training environment) for me:
    Does awareness and avoidance count?
    Negosiation many times
    deflection then restraint, many times.
    striking, a few times.
    Throwing a few times
Toe to toe challenge type fights only a few times
Being totally flattened, ambushed a few times.
Real defence against knifes, three times (not including talking out). (but not with trained people or I would not have survived?
Been scared shitless- many times (assuming dealing with fear is a martial arts skill)

As I write this it strikes me as a stupid question because it is ill defined.

The way I see it, if you don't want your career to become an issue, you're best off avoiding bringing it up altogether. Once you've indicated that you are, in fact, a law enforcement officer, you have nothing to lose (except for maybe some privacy, which may be a legitimate concern) by having it confirmed. You may not earn anyone's respect, but you'll have established that you were telling the truth about something important, and that's something.

if you really are a Lieutenant, then I'd take your posts differently...otherwise you come off a bit presumptuous.

I'm about as perfect as FEMA circa 2006. I just couldn't pass on the dig. Don't be such a soreass!

There is a huge privacy and safety issue ,I dont need any wackos knowing where I work .I think few locals have narrowed it down to one of two Departments.

But other than that , Its the same as anybody here saying there Black belts in this or that.

And like you said If Im not going get respect , **** it , why bother let the hyenas think what they want , It means nothing to me what they think ,

Case in point a guy criticizes my post why because I made a typo , wow , should I post some **** everytime he typos.

go ahead you tired fucker! Follow my posts and point out imperfections.

You have absolutely no sense of humor, that is more of a threat to your long-term well being than any paranoia you have over being found out.
