    Carbonated drinks

    Does anyone know if there's a link or association with drinking carbonated drinks and water retention?

    The sodium content could lead to water retention however the caffine acts as a diuretic.

    Some researchers also believe the phosphates leach calcium and other minerals from your body and they harm the flora in your intestinal tract.

    No, the caffine will act as a diuretic and cause you to lose water. Sodium can cause you retain water.

    Are you eating alot of processed or high-sodium foods? (raman, soups/broths, chips or salty snacks)

    I've always wondered if there is anly link between the sugar content in carbonated drinks and substantial water retention.

    soda = the devil.

    you heard it here first
    In summation your argument denotes a lack of intellectual honesty on your part. It is my contention that this matter would best be solved with fisticuffs. I believe I will be victorious in this regard.

    Quit drinking soda, even diet or zero colas. It's just stupid. Agreed with partyboy, soda = the Devil.

    Zero cal sodas don't have any sugar.

    Regarding drinking diet soda: I don't believe it does any thing to you that you wouldn't do to yourself if you didn't drink lots of soda.

    Sucralose, Aspartame and Ace-K (Acesulfame-K, but I call it Ace-K because I like to sound cool) are artificial sweetners with no reported negative side effects. I've read that drinking too much Aspartame can **** with your blood-brain barrier, but you would have to take in enormous amounts.

    Nothing wrong with some soda, dawg.
