Does anyone know if there's a link or association with drinking carbonated drinks and water retention?

The sodium content could lead to water retention however the caffine acts as a diuretic.
Some researchers also believe the phosphates leach calcium and other minerals from your body and they harm the flora in your intestinal tract.

Does caffine generally help with water retention ?"To sin by silence when one should protest makes cowards out of men".

No, the caffine will act as a diuretic and cause you to lose water. Sodium can cause you retain water.
Are you eating alot of processed or high-sodium foods? (raman, soups/broths, chips or salty snacks)

I've always wondered if there is anly link between the sugar content in carbonated drinks and substantial water retention.Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

soda = the devil.
you heard it here firstIn summation your argument denotes a lack of intellectual honesty on your part. It is my contention that this matter would best be solved with fisticuffs. I believe I will be victorious in this regard.

Sucralose, Aspartame and Ace-K (Acesulfame-K, but I call it Ace-K because I like to sound cool) are artificial sweetners with no reported negative side effects. I've read that drinking too much Aspartame can **** with your blood-brain barrier, but you would have to take in enormous amounts.
Nothing wrong with some soda, dawg.Originally Posted by Goju - joe
