Ugh, I've tried sparring with that headgear with the bar across the face and I couldn't see ****.
My recommendation for those that don't want to get busted up is to pick and choose your sparring partners so that you're not scrapping with people trying to take your head off.
I know I've seldom had a black eye or bloody nose from sparring and I tend to spar pretty decently hard with guys bigger than me. Just don't get into a full out brawl during sparring and you should be fine. -

Has anyone used this one:

I'm debating between that and the fightgear traditional, which everyone on sherdog seems to love. Just wondering about the Windy because I'm an idiot fool for name brands... -

Hey, i know the thread is a bit old, but i descided that i want a face saver stile headgear, i have been boxing for almost 10 years now, and want to continue, the problem is that once in a while i brake my nose on someones hand , and know i have a partialy blocked nostrile and i snore harder. So, first things first, can someone recommend a brand? i thought of the twins facesaver because i have an old model with cheek protectors that i actually like a lot, however they are expensive (160 $), i saw a cheap one http://store.titleboxing.com/title-c...-headgear.html. thought maybe he will do for those sparring partners that tend to squish my lovely half Jewish nose.
Another thing, is that i live in Israel, so if you guys know of a site i can order what you recommended that will actually ship it to me it will be great help.
Thank you very much for your time and effort.
