    headgear with better nose protection

Can anyone recommend headgear with a little extra protection for a slightly larger than normal nose. The Title Headgear I am using now is the best Ive tried, but I was hoping for a little more protection. I dont want one of the huge masks with the bar around the front ... something that looks a bit more normal with a bit better nose protection.

    Thanks for any advice

I know, I know ... dont get hit in the nose ... and no, I dont look like Condorito.

I'm curious as well- I can't show up at work with a busted nose. Are the cage headgears usually reliable?

    Dear God.

OP: Stop being a sissy. You'll never be any good at fighting if you try to protect your face by piling more padding onto it instead of learning to defend. If you can't get hit in the nose without getting all disoriented and watery-eyed, you haven't been hit in the nose enough, and padding isn't going to help the problem.

Im not sure what you thought you were reading between the lines in my post, but that's pretty much completely off mark.

Im looking for normal headgear that fits my personal charactaristics a bit better. If I wasn't interested in good head protection I wouldn't use headgear at all.

The best nose protection you can get,

as long as they're where they belong.

    I didn't say don't wear it.

    Poor comprehension skills?

    For the slow,

    KEEP YOUR FUCKING HANDS UP!

Most headgear doesn't protect the nose.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it looked like you were asking about extra nose protection. I don't have a problem with headgear; it protects your brain, and brains are important and whatnot. The nose, however, does not contain any vital organs.

I just want to know why you want your headgear to protect your nose, and if that's not the case, what is this thread about again?

We use caged headgear when we spar all out at my dojo. They are generally good for protecting your face but you also lose a lot of vision so you must spar without them as well. Even with the cage I've gotten lit up twice. The first time I didn't have it on tight enough and a wilding noob hit it hard enough to make it spin and slice my nose open. The second time a 260lb wilding noob straight blasted it hard enough to make part of the cage imprint my face (that kid hits really goddamn hard). The bottom line is you can have a pretty face or you can train, it's hard to have both.
