Thread: Sambo Shoes???

Hey all! I broke a toe and the doc said to be a couch puss for 8 weeks while little piggy :XXpig:gets better. I, on the other hand, aspire to return to Jujutsu/Judo class and roll next week. I was told that a pair of Sambo shoes would help protect my toe and wanted to know where I can get a pair. Any brands that are better than others? We do not allow wrestling shoes on our mats, so thats not an option.

Gregg Humphries can hook you up with these fly Adidas made sambofki that you can only get in Europe/Russia. Try contacting him.
PM me if you don't have any luck, maybe I can put you onour next big order.

Alternatively contact Sambosteve. I just got a pair sent all the way to Australia, and they are great. Just remember that sambovki are soft, and probably won't provide as much toe protection as wrestling shoes.
Here's my thread on the subject of footwear, I got some great advice out of it, and eventually purchased Sambo shoes as a direct result:

Thanks for the reply, but that link is not working. I need a set of size 12s ASAP. Any other suggestions?

I may have some 12's too..:icon_cycl
But then again, if not we are all in caaahooots. Sombo only has one face in the US. We are coming to corrupt your children with red slogans, we won't mention what my kurtki wearing brethren are planning to do with the women.

I broke my pinky toe in my first ever Judo class. I kept going to class but with my toes all taped up.
I think tape might actually protect your toe more than Sambo shoes would.

I've contacted two members of this site, the email addresses listed above, contacted nysambo.com by phone as well as a few other sites that supposedly carry Sambo shoes and have had no luck (I would prefer not to purchase the ones listed on amazon.com).
Does anyone know where I can get a nice pair of Sambo shoes for a decent price?
