I had a similar situation when I got caught in an ankle lock. I herd a loud pop but it didn't really hurt. By the next day my ankle was the size of a softball. I went to the doctor per request of my wife.(a nurse) and after x rays was told I had a bad ankle sprain. It didn't really feel like a sprained ankle but it heeled up fine after a couple of weeks. It has never gave me any trouble since. However remember in a bjj. class there is nothing to prove, so tapping out might not be such a bad idea.

I once took a bad fall in Judo and my partner elbowed me in the inner thigh as he fell, my left hip popped and I lost all feeling in the leg and was later told I screamed. After about thirty seconds feeling returned in the leg and I had full ROM almost immediately but it was scary for a bit.

At least you learned a valuable lesson now... would have been much worse had it been a heel hook that you tried to tough out.

    How do health insurance?

Three days? Who are you, Wolverine? If my feelings get hurt they don't heal in three days.

I guess I learned my lesson. The problem is that even though I knew I was in a Kimura I didn't feel any discomfort at all until "CRACK". I thought my opponent wasn't doing it right.

Working on getting some AIDs. I figure if I can find a guy my size I can double my wardrobe at the same time.

wow today me and my friend in bjj were sparring. He did an up and over sweep but i posted using my right hand and man... it happened so fast. My friend said "holy crap! that's 200 pounds of force on your right arm and it twisted in a way so unnatural, most people's arms would've been fucked over by now." Thank god i have flexible shoulders/elbows. Or else i would've been out for training for awhile.

It's been a few days now and it is about 75-80%. Much better than I thought it would be. Thanks for the good advice everybody.

It sounded (and felt) like a giant version of cracking your knuckles. I can't say exactly what he was doing just that there was no real discomfort until it cracked.
