I think we don't see them because they are not allowed. As for the auto kill factor, I would say that comes from the TMA mentality. There are plenty of cases where people get shot multiple times, and are still fighting. Just as there is no magic bullet, there is no magic punch, kick, throw, or whatever. Personally I think these people have been watching to much Dragonball Z, but to each there own.

Just as an aside, and this is not directed at Stold3 (3?) but does anyone think it's really weird that schools that won't even SPAR, make fun of NHB because of exclusion of certain techniques?

Well it's damn hard to do. First thing a boxer learns is to keep his chin down. It takes all you've got just to hit in the general facial area, a hidden target like the throat? Not a chance.
It is better to grab the throat while clinching.

They can elbow in Pride, but I believe it can only be to the body, and not the head. In the last Pride I remember Jackson just laying into Lidell's ribs with elbows. Someone help me with this.
