If fedor had accepted a contract with a win bonus, it likely would have had a smaller gauranteed purse. This way, he get 300K win or loose. Less risk on his part, so I'm betting it's what he wanted.

Arlovski did get a win bonus.."Andrei Arlovski: $750,000 (includes $250,000 win bonus)".

Arlovski ($500,000) and Sylvia ($800, 000) both had higher guarantees than Fedor, why?

I hope fedor got a signing bonus or something, otherwise that's just silly.

Relatively few ppl have ever seen Fedor fight. Lots of ppl know who Sylvia is. Same thing happened to Rampage when he came to UFC. Purses are decided by how much money you can bring in, not how good a fighter you are.
