*Spoilers* What confused me about the Matrix Revolutions

I mean, other than why it SUCKED SO GOD DAMNED BAD ...

If Bane was possessed by Agent Smith in Reloaded (which is implied, since he tries to kill Neo, then get his ship to go with the search and rescue) why did he abort the assassination attempt he made there? What the **** would Agent Smith care if that body died, as long as he took Neo with him?

Also, since I, as the movie goer, was pratically screaming "He's Agent Smith, you assholes! Listen to the way he's talking! He's Agent Smith!!!!!!!" why did it take Neo and Trinity like FOREVER to figure the same thing out?

I have yet to see the Matrix III, and I am getting the hint that, waiting till it comes out on DVD is probably a good thing.

1 how did Neo control the matrix without being plugged in...an 802.11g connection? ha!
2 if the surface of the earth was uninhabitable (nuclear winter), how could neo just walk around?

No good fight scenes practically at ALL, actually.

I got that Neo has a direct cerebral connection to the source code ... that in fact, he in effect BECAME the source code, by refusing the Architect's first offer ... which is actually kinda cool.

The robots stopped because they were told too by the giant baby-faced machine thing that Neo was talking to. That was Neo's deal, right? "I will stop Smith by becoming the conduit for you to 'infect' his code with the cleansing Source code. I will fight him long enough for it to look plausible, then let him win. You will use that to 'kill' him and reset the Matrix. In return, the human/machine war ends. You stop trying to destroy Zion, we stop trying to destroy the Matrix. You release those minds that want out. We stop being a thorn in your side."
